Shea Moisture- Youth Infusing Mud Mask

Rarely do I try mud masks.

It’s not that I have anything against them, I just have a big pile of sheet masks to get through right now. I picked this up while out shopping as a spontaneous purchase! I know the brand is pretty popular, or at least well-known. I figured I would give it a go, as the mood struck me.

Upon opening this tiny package, I was in love with the smell! Definitely picked up on the avocado and the fruity smells as well. Although it’s very fragrant, it’s also calming and not overwhelming.

Application was smooth. I was really trying to use the whole package in one go because it appears small, and I didn’t think there was a lot of product inside. With that in mind, I layered it on THICK… and it still quickly absorbed into my skin. This one dries fast. Its max time reccommended is 10 minutes, so it is doing its thing quickly. I still have lots leftover in the package- so much for that plan!

The following images are in the span of only a few minutes, so that you can see how quickly it dried and became patchy. The first image is first application, where it is thick and full coverage, and they continue to show the patching.

So, despite going on thick, I was definitely completely dried by about 9 minutes. My skin was tight, and I could rub the surface without anything coming off.  Wow! :0

Oh, I wanted this to do some great things for me, but it just didn’t! I didn’t see any change in my skin. It wasn’t even softer or nourished after washing it off. I was a little dissappointed, but maybe I’ll try a different product of theirs next time. Any suggestions?
